Who will be first: .APPLE or .GOOGLE ?

New .GOOGLE domains?
The .GOOGLE new gTLD was delegated but it does nos seem that these new domain names are part of recent developments.
According to a recent announcement:
"In an effort to further increase security, in the coming weeks we’ll be changing the main Google Calendar URL from "www.google.com/calendar' to 'calendar.google.com"

Since Google often does announcements of this kind, it would have been appropriate to consider changing to a ".google" domain name instead of another sub-domain.

Join the Apple Club
Apple seems to have started to redirect new domain names to its front page and apple.club is a good example of this but having a look at domains ending in ".apple, the google search engines does not yet show any.

New gTLD reminders:
  • Most recent Sunrise Period announcements;
  • The Trademark Clearinghouse ("TMCH") calendar;
  • Clubs offering free products can register their ".club" domain name here and search for a "Premium" on Startup.club.
