Not having the .com of your name is that it signals weakness

A "club is a club": sports clubs, fan clubs, night clubs to use a domain name ending in ".club".
From the author:
"There are of course examples of startups that have succeeded without having the .com of their name. 100% of the top 20 YC companies by valuation have the .com of their name. 94% of the top 50 do. But only 66% of companies in the current batch have the .com of their name. Which suggests there are lessons ahead for most of the rest, one way or another".

Reminders:
  • Trademarks should submit their datas into the Trademark Clearinghouse to participate in future Sunrise Periods. The official TMCH calendar is available here;
  • I agree with the article from this author but within a certain number of years, clubs will be better recognized online because of their ".club" domain name (find yours at your accredited Registrar), not because of their ".com". I believe future generations will think differently.
