Is Amazon.com the biggest Registrant for new domain names?

Extract: "I’ve also noticed recently that it registered a bunch of generic or descriptive terms under new TLDs last year that were originally registered under Mark Monitor’s DNStinations. The whois records are slowly shifting to Amazon.com, unveiling more and more domains".

Note: did you know there is a TLD which means "trademark"? The ".商标" IDN stands for “.trademark” in Simplified Chinese.

Reminder:
  • Bookstores can register a ".club" domain name with UniRegistry;
  • Brands can submit their trademark data into the Trademark Clearinghouse ("TMCH") to participate in a Sunrise Period. The TMCH calendar is available here;
